PlatePal NG ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

• Account data: Name, email address, phone number, and password (encrypted).
• Vehicle data: Plate numbers, make, model, year, and document expiry dates you enter.
• Document files: Photos or scans of documents you choose to upload (stored securely on Vercel Blob).
• Payment data: Payment references processed through Paystack or Flutterwave. We do not store card numbers.

How We Use Your Data

• To send you reminders about document expiry dates via email, SMS, and WhatsApp.
• To process renewal requests on your behalf.
• To improve our platform and fix bugs.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (Resend for email, Termii for SMS/WhatsApp, Paystack/Flutterwave for payments, Neon for database hosting).

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion by emailing hello@platepal.ng.

Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We follow industry-standard security practices.
